Volunteering for programs is a great way to accumulate merit. Patrul Rinpoche writes inWords of My Perfect Teacher:
There are three ways to please the teacher and serve him. The best way is known as the offering of practice, and consists of putting whatever he teaches into practice with determination, disregarding all hardship. The middling way is known as service with body and speech, which involves serving him and doing whatever he needs you to do whether physically, verbally or mentally. The lowest way is by material offerings, which means to please your teacher by giving him material goods, food, money and so forth. [1]

Positions and Qualifications
Co-host – Tech Support
Enter into one-on-one conversations with retreatants having tech issues
Advise on the “big” tech issues (improvements to Zoomcasting or internet)
“Everyone” channel responses when the tech issue might apply to all
Co-host – Retreatant Support
In-channel question response about schedule or practice page
Have the URL for more complex questions
Record questions in the “retreat questions online document
Co-host – Moderator
Admitting, muting or stopping videos that accidentally get turned on by the retreatants
Turn off the Video of individuals during practice (when someone’s keeping their video on) in order to protect bandwidth and improve Zoom sound
Monitor Facebook channels for spammy comments
Co-host – Q&A Moderator
Be an on-screen moderator, calling on those with questions to unmute and ask their questions
All Hosts and Co-hosts
Keep on the look-out for “zoom bombers” (people who try to disrupt the teaching maliciously) and remove them to the waiting room
Mute someone who has fallen off mute
Translation – live
Translate teachings in an individual channel, from English (there is also an opportunity to translate from Tibetan, but our teachings will be translated to English so one can simultaneously translate
Translation – retreatant support
Proivdes limited support to retreatants who do not understand English with tech issues, text issues, and getting other questions answered.

Help edit the English or proofread prayer books
Translation – other dharma books
Help edit the English or proofread prayer books
