Laundry & Mail Services; First Aid
Laundry Facilities:
Our on-site laundry is conveniently located in the tent bathhouse, with machines just beyond the bathrooms, facing the 8th-year class hut. These machines operate with quarters, available at the office, where you can also purchase laundry soap. A helpful tip: the local water means you’ll need just 1/4 the usual amount of soap to avoid stiff clothes. For those damp summer days, consider adding an extra quarter to the dryer for thorough drying.
Mail and Packages:
Ensure your mail finds you during your stay by addressing it as follows. UPS and other delivery services normally place packages behind the office, in the hallway that has the First Aid kit. A volunteer will collect mail daily from the post box and bring to the office was well.

Health and Safety:
Awareness and prevention are key for a healthy stay. While enjoying the natural beauty, remember to take precautions against Lyme disease, common in local deer ticks. Wearing long sleeves, using insect repellent, and performing daily tick checks are essential steps. To replenish supplies, you can purchase at the nearby Dollar store, or at the Walgreens in Greene or CVS in Binghamton.
First Aid
There are First Aid supplies in a cabinet in the hallway behind the office in the South Dorm. No staff with medical training is available; there may be volunteers who are doctors or nurses who can informally help you determine for yourself if you’d like to go to a walk-in center or get you to a hospital in an emergency.
