We need your help!
Come up Memorial Weekend 2016, May 28 – 30, and help the monks-in-residence prepare the center for the summer retreat.
Van transportation from New York City, food, and accommodations provided as a thanks for your help.
Activities will include gardening, planting flowers, dorm cleaning, kitchen set-up and more. If we’re lucky, it won’t rain and we’ll be able to enjoy beautiful weather! Even if it does rain, we’ll have plenty to do indoors. Do be sure to bring warm clothes for the evening as it can cool down this time of year to the low 40s at night. But it is expected to be mostly sunny and in the 70s on Sunday and Monday!
We will also have the opportunity to practice in the morning in the temple with Dorje Lopon Lama Sochuk, a Tibetan monk who has completed the 3-year retreat and is authorized by His Holiness Penor Rinpoche to care for the upstate temple practice in the off-season and to lead the highest Dzogchen practices.
If you are interested in attending, please contact us.
Please sign up by May 25 so we know you plan on attending and can purchase enough food. To sign up, email retreat@palyul.org
