Memorial Weekend 2009: 49th Day Practice
SCHEDULE: Main puja is on May 24; a group will be at the center on May 23, however, the facilities are primarily open the evening of May 23 through the morning of May 25.
We will all gather to pray together for the Swift Rebirth of our Root Teacher, His Holiness Penor Rinpoche. The practice will be attended by the Himalayan community and will be predominantly in Tibetan. Ceremony officiants include Tulku Chonjor Rinpoche and Khenpo Tenzin Norgay Rinpoche. Bus service will likely be in place to go to the center or comment here for ride share. One 12-passenger van may be available at a shared cost basis (likely $70/per person round trip due to the holiday weekend). If you plan to come by bus, please let us know.
Last day to book the bus is on Wednesday, May 13.
The practice will likely include practices not available in translation or transliteration, but bring any practice book you have available. Also bring a change of warm clothes as the weather this time of year is changeable.
The retreat is on a donation basis. Opportunity to donate for electricity and food exists - please call Lama Tsewang Norbu at 607-656-4645 if you wish to make an offering in this way.
All others can feel free to make an offering on PayPal or to offer on site. However, offering is not mandatory, of course. Please just come! Fill out a retreat registration form so we know you plan on attending.
