Well, I'm back to work on this site again after having to take a breather for work. Work is still incredibly busy, but squeezing this in.

Just got back from an INCREDIBLE upstate retreat with Khenpo Tenzin Norgey on Yumkha. The weather was just amazing and the teachings were so clear like the sky!

We were also really fortunate to be able to receive interviews and blessings from His Holiness Penor Rinpoche as well as Khentul Gyangkhang Rinpoche, both of whom happened to be at the center during this short retreat.

On to the "case!"

We added a Retreatant 2008 group for info that pertains only to that group. Also, if you are, or have been, a retreatant, let me know by using the "Contact Us" form. We'll add you to that permissions set and you will be able to update your profile if you wish and communicate with other retreatants. This will evolve if it looks like it would be used. A lot of work effort goes into creating these features so we don't want to spend that effort in that way if no one really wants it! :)

Still looking for a volunteer who can do a nice CSS template for palyul.org (and this site, too!) And someone who can write some mean PHP so we can customize more.

Right now I'm noticing pulling content out of mySQL does have the side effect of laaaaaag, meaning, slow performance. Looking into whether or not that can be off-set by getting a better mySQL or if this is inevitable if you use Drupal.

Someone wrote with the possibility that we could host Palyul.org for free. We'll see how that pans out. Main thing is we won't do anything that would cause any issues with serving the community in the best way possible.
